Above - Stopped by to check on Loki's feet. This how they look on any given day. The last time I checked I found the same thing. They have not been trimmed for months. I basically check for balance, and apply a new mustang roll. I do not touch heel, toe, sole, bar, or frog.
Below - Same feet after I applied the roll and balanced the quarters. (the only wall that needed any attention, as slight as it was).
Loki's right front hoof.

Loki is a Standardbred off the track. His owners Rich & Ken enjoy driving him through the neighboring subdivisions.

Loki self maintains his hooves through his road work. He lives in a grass pasture the rest of the time.

Nice feet. Wouldn't you say?

Below are some photos of his right front both before and after I re-applied his roll
Once again, all I did was roll the wall from the bottom. I did not touch heel, toe, sole, bar, or frog, other than cleaning it. The white on the bottom of the hoof is lime from the floor not rasp marks. The bar looks groomed, but I did not groom it.
Above - Courtney, another standardbred off the track. Once again Rich and Ken work her on the road as they enjoy driving her through the local neighborhoods. Courtney lives on grass pasture when she is not working. The first photos are how her hooves looked when I first picked them up. The photos directly below are after I re-applied the mustang roll. Once again, I did not touch heel, sole, bar, toe, or frog. I merely balanced qaurters and rolled the wall.  She has not been trimmed for months. Both horses are sound on all terrains.
