This is Linda's e-mail to me following Amber's first trim:
"Monica: I couldn't believe it, but when I went out to change Amber's blanket around 5PM, I couldn't catch her! She was trotting around tossing her head in the falling snow! I brought her in and she was wild eyed and excited even on the crossties., like there was some new kind of energy in her. When we muscle tested, she does not need her hoofwings tonite. Hopefully she won't overdo it. This is great, I can't thank you enough. Michelle is so excited too. She is going to ride her tomorrow. Hope your trip home was ok. Talk soon Thanks again, you are sent from heaven!  Linda"
Here is my latest update from Linda: "Amber is doing really well. I hope we didn't overdo it, but yesterday I rode her for 1 1/2 hours in the AM, and Michelle rode her for 2hrs in the PM. She seems ok, so I rode her for 1hour tonite. She is so happy to just go out on trail, and she seems to just radiate gratitude.  We all thank you.  Linda"

Here are more follow up e-mails I have recieved from Linda, Amber's owner:
"Hi Monica: Just have to tell you: Yesterday Amber got excited and took off at a full gallop across the pasture(barely able to stop for fence), then bucked, reared snorted etc. She is really feeling good. Let me know when you can come trim her after you get back from Ca. She is ready. Linda"
"Amber has gotten much better on hard surfaces in the last couple days. I used to avoid crossing the street in rush hour, but yesterday she walked right across. I was amazed! Linda"
